About WRC

Water Resources Consultants (WRC), Botswana was incorporated in Botswana in 1987 while its associated firm WRC Consultants Limited was established in Zambia in 2002. The firm is a multi-disciplinary consulting company specializing in the assessment, development and management of water resources, environmental studies, environmental audits, environmental compliance monitoring as well as the design and construction management of water supply and sanitation infrastructure. Since its incorporation in 1987, WRC has been providing services in Botswana, Zambia, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo and other countries in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.

Since its inception, WRC has successfully executed a significant number of projects in the water resources, environmental and design and engineering construction supervision sectors for governments, mining houses, international consulting firms in Botswana, and other countries in the SADC region including Zambia, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Malawi and Zimbabwe. WRC has also participated in SADC commissioned projects that included: development of the regional groundwater management programme; development of a code of practice and guidelines on groundwater development in the SADC region; preliminary study for the compilation of a regional hydrogeological map and atlas for the SADC region; and protection and strategic uses of groundwater in drought prone regions of the SADC region.

WRC has also implemented regional groundwater resource assessment projects using leading edge technologies such as airborne geophysical surveys, ground geophysics, numerical modelling, isotope and hydrochemical analysis for estimation of groundwater resources. WRC is at the forefront of technological developments in the industry through its association with leading institutes and firms. WRC maintains close collaboration with consulting firms and research organizations.

 WRC has a proven track record of achievement and has successfully executed projects ranging in value from Pula 15,000 to Pula thirty five million. Successful and timely completion of projects, innovative use of technology and a commitment to excellence has helped WRC build a strong reputation among its clients.

 The strength of WRC has been its highly qualified and dynamic national and international work force employed from time to time. WRC has extensive in-house facilities, equipment and resources to implement multi-disciplinary projects.
